OK So to confuse everyone a little more, I may be heading to Acadia this summer after all! Yesterday I received a message from the Supervisory Ranger at Acadia National Park. He apologized for not being able to hire me this summer. I was disappointed but knew that another offer would come my way, and it did, the exact same offer (well, almost)! Anyhow, I got a call this morning, again from the Supervisory Ranger and I happened to be in class at the time. He left me a message saying that one of their seasonal law enforcement rangers just backed out (talk about last minute!) and the Chief Ranger gave the go ahead to hire me. Right now I'm filling out paperwork and trying to make this thing happen. I have to be enrolled in school to accept this position (long story) so I have applied to Central Maine Community College and will take two online courses in the fall. This of course provided that I pass my physical test (we'll get to that in a minute) and all of my other tests. After I fill out a bunch of paperwork, I have to wait to hear from HR to determine if I am qualified for the position, which I very well should be.

OK back to the physical test. I went to an Orthopedic Specialist today and it was inconclusive as to whether there was a fracture or not. He said I could get an MRI to determine if there is or isn't one, but I instead opted to have him write me a release letter so that I can run for my test next week. I really don't have a choice and I'm going to do the test whether I like it or not. The only other option is to wait for my leg to stop hurting (about 6-8 weeks) and skip out on the Acadia job. Considering how much effort I've put into trying to get this job, there's NO WAY that's happening.

I'm putting up pictures of Hope's graduation right now. It will take about five hours to upload all of them, but this is the site I will have them on when I'm finished (sometime tomorrow hopefully).....

There are some great pictures. Please excuse the blurry ones as Hope was pretty far away and it was very hard to hold the camera perfectly still. Enjoy!
