Adventures of HG at NRTI

Sorry everyone! I know I haven't posted in a while, but it has been extremely busy here. Hope's graduation was this weekend. YAY HOPE! And I was supposed to test for my final PT test for the state this Thursday. Unfortunately while running last Tuesday I injured my leg and according to the doctor "more than likely" fractured my tibia. Sooooo....I am heading to an Orthopedic Specialist tomorrow to find out what to do next. I did talk to my commander about the situation and luckily I have up to one full year to complete my physical assessment. I'm hoping it won't take nearly that long to complete.

I went swimming after class today and actually felt pretty good. Getting out of the pool was another story, but while in the pool, I swam, walked, and did a few other exercises to strengthen my leg. I'm planning to swim everyday after class. As of right now I'm scheduled for my last DT class on Saturday and I'll know tomorrow if I can participate or not.

As for the summer, I heard back from Acadia and unfortunately they are not able to hire me for the summer. I sort of figured that but kept my hopes up anyway. Oh well, if it wasn't meant to be, then there was a reason. As of right now, and I have lots of options to consider, I'll be moving back to Maryland after classes are finished. I'm not sure if I'll stay in Nelsonville through June or not, but we shall see. I also have the option of working for TALMAR for a little while and I'd like to help out the Red Cross if I can. In July, I may have the opportunity to help Wilwood Stables in Acadia National Park in Maine. This will also give me the opportunity to volunteer with law enforcement in my down time. I'll keep everyone posted on my next adventures.

I promise to put up pictures of Hope's graduation soon. I think I'll just create a site where we can all view, order, make enlargements, etc. Until then...
