Today was yet another grueling thirteen hour day with both alcohol detection and CPR. I came home late last night from class and had an awful sinus headache. It took a few hours to get to sleep and when I finally did the storms started. I was awoken by the storms at around 0200 (2:00 a.m.) or so. Then about an hour later I woke up again, this time from sirens. Apparently the little coffee place down the street had a pretty bad fire. Then I finally woke up and got up at 0600 (6:00 a.m.), again from the storms. The sad part is I had earplugs in the whole time. To give you an idea of how bad the storms are here, I was brushing my teeth with the water running and heard banging. I thought someone was banging on the bathroom window from outside. I turned the water down to listen and it turns out the thunder was so bad it was shaking the windows. One guy from my class was telling me that car alarms were going off in the dorm parking lot this morning. I was SURE we were either going to lose power today or get flooded out of school but neither happened.
During CPR today my classmates and I held our own pretty good. I don't think anyone's gun was taken away, but we still have two classes left. Luckily one isn't until next week and then one more on May 9th. So I'm super tired and going to sleep but a couple more things first...
Today I got out of class and checked my phone to find that I had a call from NPS-Acadia National Park, looking for a Horse Park Ranger. If this is the job I think it is, I'm super excited about it. I believe it's a law enforcement position working on horses. I left a message and hopefully I'll be in touch with them tomorrow, so I'll let everyone know how it goes. Keep your fingers crossed because I can use all the help I can get right now.
Also, I have a PT Assessment tomorrow. Nothing real official, but I'm trying to get under my time again, so wish me luck on that too. Having said that, I'm getting up at 0500 (5:00 a.m.) so goodnight and good luck, to me! :)
