Apparently Ohio officials thought it would be a good idea to dedicate six hours of class time to Crime Prevention. Sure, it's a very important topic, but when you finish all of the material in two hours, you're forced to find something to do for the remaining four hours. It was a very uneventful day, except for the fire alarm.
Yes, the fire alarm went off several times today. The first time it went off I wasn't sure what kind of alarm it was. Some said it was fire, some said it was burglar and some said it was flood. Anyway, we all filed out the door and into the tiny parking lot outside the building. The cops and fire department showed up and looked over the building. All was clear about 15 minutes later and we were allowed to go inside. No sooner than we all sat down than the alarm went off again so we marched back out and were allowed inside again about a minute later. Apparently water was dripping on some sort of electrical panel and caused the alarm to go off a few times. The third time it just beeped once and scared me to death. I nearly jumped out of my seat.

I also forgot to mention that when it started raining about two days ago, Hocking started to flood. Apparently if one road into school is flooded, then the school must shut down because they need two emergency exits from campus, and there's only two roads in. Well it came pretty close. This photo shows a horse pasture. It's kind of blurry but basically the whole pasture was under water. Fortunately all of the horses were in another pasture on the opposite side of the road. It's still raining and will continue to do so through tomorrow too. We're currently in a flood watch but hopefully that will end soon.
Tomorrow is another full day of PT/DT. Wish me luck!
