Mom and Jayne were here yesterday and it was so good to see them both. We toured the town and it was a pretty nice day out.

Today was another laundry day. It was raining this morning and I was being lazy. When I went to go do laundry this afternoon, it was snowing. I made a quick stop at the grocery store and when I came out ten minutes later it was hailing, pretty hard too.

Anyhow, I got all of my laundry done and everything set out for tomorrow. While running back and forth to do laundry, I also decided to make this pork loin that I had defrosted in the fridge. I wanted to try something new and looked up a couple of recipes online. This one came pretty close to what I was looking for, but I changed it around a bit. For one, I don't have a grill and instead put it in the oven. So here's how it went...

I started preparing the pork loin at about 1:30. I didn't have lunch so I wanted an early dinner. I started by searing the loin in a little bit of oil on the stove.

Next I let it cool and painted it with a mixture of honey, orange juice (freshly squeezed) and light brown sugar.

Then I added a bunch of whole cloves.

I cooked the pork loin on 200 degrees for a few hours and topped it off with green beans, applesauce and a salad. The pork loin has such a great flavor to it! I can't wait to eat leftovers tomorrow!
