Yup, we were each issued a set of cuffs today, but only after a very stern lecture. Right before lunch we were handed a quiz on a diagram of a pair of handcuffs. Two days ago, we were handed the exact same diagram with each part of the cuffs labeled and we were told that a quiz would be given on Thursday. Well, last time I checked, today is Thursday and here we have a quiz. I studied and I think I only mislabeled on piece out of at least 12 points. Apparently other people did not study. When we came back from lunch our Commander, also the guy who runs the entire program, came in with a very unhappy look on his face. We were lectured on how bad we did on the quiz, we were lectured on how people are not allowed to smoke behind the building and we were lectured that no one is allowed to degrade women by talking rudely.
I'm actually glad that the class was lectured. I didn't take it personally because I didn't fall into any of those categories, and while yes, we are all supposed to look out for each other, I told the guys several times not to talk to women like they do. There are certain individuals that will stand in the hall every day at each break and at lunch time and they will 'rate' women as they go by or even whistle, bark or make other stupid sounds. Like I said, I warned them, but nobody listens to me!
So anyways, we were issued a set of cuffs and two keys. I think we will learn how to use them in DT tomorrow which is a frightening prospect considering none of us have used handcuffs before.
After class, the school Commander called myself and one other individual into his office. I thought I was in trouble! Luckily I wasn't. We had to provide an extensive medical history before entering the program and he just wanted to make sure that I didn't have any long term problems from my concussion back in high school. Now I'm sitting here eating Pot Pie, watching a little TV and getting ready for tomorrow. It's going to be a long day so I'm packing everything up tonight. That way tomorrow morning I can roll out of bed, get dressed, grab my bag and go.
