Apparently I'm a turtle. A blue turtle. In class today we had a new instructor. After introducing himself, he promptly handed out 'spirit guides,' a.k.a. Silly Bandz. According to this website I'm a wolverine and have no idea why, but in class I'm the turtle. Basically the concept is this: wear the silly band on your dominant hand. If you keep anything in that hand for more than 10 seconds at any time, you must do 10 push ups. Luckily I only messed up once today and held the pen in my hand for 10 seconds. You can have something in your hand longer, but you must be currently using it. The idea is to get us used to keeping our dominant hand (gun hand) free (just in case we need to draw our weapon quickly). I think it's a neat idea, I just hope I don't have to do a lot of push ups! And hey, I'm OK with being a turtle, at least I didn't end up with the pig, fairy, unicorn or other crazy animal. After all, slow and steady wins the race!

Thought this was funny; it's what that website I posted above thinks my skills are. I could be a linebacker! Ha! Yeah right. "Nobody messes with Wolverines. You're fearless, assertive (okay, aggressive), and tenacious. You might be a Marine, or a middle linebacker. You're the best at whatever you choose to do, because you give yourself no alternative."

I went to the gym again after class today but had a little incident I needed to take care of before I could get there. I only live like a mile from the school so I hurried back home to change in gym clothes. As soon as I walked in the door, still with all my duty gear on, Feisty walked up to me with a piece of Duct Tape stuck to her back paw, trailing like toilet paper would on a person's shoe. At first it was funny and I giggled. Then when I bent over (which is REALLY hard to do with duty gear on) I noticed it was stuck really good. I tried pulling it off but it wasn't working and she was squirming so I quickly took my gear and jacket off and tried to hold her down and ease the tape off. About 20 minutes and a pair of dull scissors later she was free. I was really nervous cutting the hair off the bottom of her paw because I didn't want to cut the pad, but I think she came out OK. Guess she won't be doing that again any time soon.

So, I got about 45 minutes in at the gym, did some light cardio, sit ups, push ups, worked the bag a little and lifted some weights. I feel like I'm getting stronger in terms of lifting. Go me!

After the gym I did some laundry at the laundromat. I swear, if they don't get my washer and dryer in soon I'm going to be really mad! (As if I'm not already) Anyhow, it takes a half hour to wash and about an hour to dry so after I threw my laundry into the dryer, I made my way to Athens to pick up allergy medication from CVS. Unfortunately, when I got there, no only did they not have my medicine but they didn't even have me in their system! After about the fourth try, they finally found me and told me I had to go to the other CVS, about five minutes down the road. So I went. When I got there, it was pretty much in the middle of Ohio Univeristy and it's only on-street parking. After about 20 minutes of searching for a parking space, I finally found one and walked to the next block where CVS was located. They were closed. At least the pharmacy was. I guess they couldn't have told me that at the first CVS I went too. Oh well, maybe I'll try again tomorrow. While I was there, I got Wendy's and ate that on the way back to get my laundry. Of course by this time it was around 2000 (8:00 p.m.) and I was pretty hungry. I got the Double Baconator, fries and a Frosty, of course.

Home sweet home. Now I'm just posting songs on the guys' Facebook pages. Each one gets a unique song to wake up to for tomorrow's 0600 (6:00 a.m.) PT. Here we go!
