Adventures of HG at NRTI

So the day's not over yet, but it has certainly proved interesting thus far. Let's start with this morning for example. I woke up, rolled over and looked at my phone which read -2 degrees Nelsonsville. What!? This surly couldn't be right. So I rubbed my eyes, waited a few seconds and looked again. Yup. That's what it said, -2. Nope, still not right. This time I sat up in bed, clicked the update button on Weatherbug and sure enough, it went up to -1.2 degrees. WOW. That was at 0730 hours(7:30 a.m.). By 1100 hours (11:00 a.m.) it was 9 degrees and now at 1330 hours (1:30 p.m.) we have reached our high of 23 degrees. I'm realllly hoping that PT will be indoors.

My next 'adventure' for the day was venturing out to the local grocery store called Kroger (I think that's how you spell it). I originally thought it was some sort of clothing store. :) Goes to show how much I know. Anyhow, I've never seen quite such an array of cowboy/cowgirl hats in my life! Red, blue, tan, black, white, you name it! This was quite a small store too. If you're from the Towson area, imagine half the size of the dollar store on Loch Raven. If you're from Aberdeen, imagine the size of the Hallmark card place in the shopping plaza. It's really small. They do have a deli and pharmacy though. How they managed to fit those in, I'll never know. And it's so funny because everyone knows everyone and I do mean EVERYONE. People were shouting each other's names across the store and laughing and sharing stories. And you thought Aberdeen was small mom? HA! The lady at the register asked me for my Kroger card and when I said I didn't have one I thought she'd pass out! She composed herself and asked me if I wanted one. I said no, but the receipt showed that I could have saved a dollar, so maybe next time I'll sign up for one. Then I'll fit right in!

Now I'm making chili and I can't wait for it to finish! I'm trying a few new things this time so I'll let you know how it turns out. :)
