Oh boy PT was a BEAT DOWN this morning. As I mentioned on Facebook, we ran four laps, did 20 push ups then 20 sit ups, then repeated a couple times over. We had a very short break in between. Of course I was the last to finish all of my sit ups since my ab muscle was killing me, but I managed. This was all within a half hour. For the next half hour we lifted weights. I am really psyched that I don't have PT tomorrow because I feel dead, but at the same time I'm not looking forward to Friday. We have PT and DT on Friday and although I'm excited to learn new things in DT, I am soooo not excited for PT again.
To keep me awake in class today, I asked Richard to bring me back a Mountain Dew Voltage from the store. Thank you! This drink has Ginseng in it and it did a good job keeping me awake and alert to focus on today's codes. And I'm so proud of myself because I manged to catch up on all my highlighting and tabbed each section in the book. I'll take a picture tomorrow because it really is a work of art! :)
Tomorrow is the last day of codes and hopefully there isn't a lot left. There was a lot to highlight today because we went through the drug offenses. In addition to each one carrying it's own charge, the charge increases depending on the type of drug, the quantity, whether a minor was involved, whether the drug was in a baggie or not and where the drug was purchased, sold, used, etc. Lots to learn!
I love/hate the stories the guys tell in class. The instructor's stories are usually pretty funny or unbelievable, like the family that was getting $1200 on welfare, neither parent worked, the two kids were failing miserably in school, the trailer where they lived had no heat, and yet, they still managed to have a 50 inch flat screen TV. Can you imagine? And I didn't even mention the drug charges.
Today was a few different stories. One of the guys in class decided to tell us about his rabbit hunting adventures and cock fighting experiences. He didn't actually participate in the fights, but he did manage to shoot a chicken with a slingshot and killed a few with a shotgun. That was way too much information for me, especially with all of the descriptors. Men. I tell you, they are really gross some times! I always learn something new though.
I think I'm going to bed super early tonight. I'll just eat dinner and set out my stuff for tomorrow and crash for the night. Good night world!
