What an extremely long day! Boy am I tired. It started with PT at 0600 (6:00 a.m.) which means I rolled out of bed at 0515 (5:15 a.m.) to get to the gym on time. Every night when I know I have PT the next morning, I lay out all of my clothes to jump into in the a.m. One, because it's super cold and the faster I can get dressed, the better. And two, because I can wake up a little bit later if I have everything ready to go. I also set out all of my shower stuff and uniform so that I can come home after PT, hop in the shower and hurry up and get dressed for class. Since I only have an hour in between PT and class, laying out all of my clothes, shoes, book bag, etc. makes life a whole lot more simple in the mornings.

One of our PT instructors called out this morning. Apparently he threw out his back and couldn't make it in. Our instructions were to run or lift until the second instructor arrived, which was about 0615 (6:15 a.m.). In the short amount of time that we had I stretched and ran a mile before the instructor arrived. Unfortunately we did more cardio after he arrived. Our instructions were to do three separate stations, the bicycle, stairs and run, each for 10 minutes. In between each station we were to do 30 push ups and 30 sit ups each. Unfortunately I pulled an external oblique ab muscle while doing sit ups this morning. I tried to push through and managed the push ups, but I couldn't continue with sit ups. They were excruciating and I just couldn't push myself any further so for the last station I slowly did the stairs which definitely didn't make the situation any better. I think if I stay away from the sit ups this week I'll be alright.

In class today we received yet another book, a law book. It's about four inches thick with very small writing. We went through several 2300 codes today and have another three days of codes. It's definitely not exciting and it's going to be really hard to learn all the codes (or most of them anyway), but I'll try my best. And it certainly doesn't help that this is one of the most boring topics in this course. It was really hard to stay awake today (even though the classroom temperature was 56 degrees!) so I think I'll be drinking some Mountain Dew or something along those lines tomorrow. I'm thinking a super duper study weekend is in order come Saturday.

Friday is supposed to be our first DT (Defensive Tactics) day. I'm excited but nervous at the same time. It should be fun to beat the snot out of the guys, but I'd imagine they're going to do the same to me so wish me luck this week.

Oh and it snowed AGAIN today. I couldn't believe it! I didn't hear anything about it, but of course I haven't really been paying attention to the news either. We probably got a half inch or so. When I got in my car to leave class today, I was surprised to find a pile of snow from my shoes this morning, perfectly shaped and everything. Goes to show how cold it is here. Tomorrow's high-41-I can't wait!!!
