
We got at least another four inches of snow today. It was really hard getting up the driveway, but I managed. Today was quite long. Despite getting to sleep in until 0645 (6:45 a.m.) I still feel really tired. No PT this a.m. but I had class all day, which wasn't too bad. We had some interesting conversations and got to watch a movie towards the end of class. Tomorrow is the topic of deadly force and I've been reading the RM-9 NPS Law Enforcement Reference Manual all week to prepare for what will be discussed. I have a little more to read tonight but first I had to hit the gym.
I skipped the gym yesterday but went today and ran a mile, did the stair stepper for about 10 minutes and did 35 sit ups. I didn't bother doing any lifting because tomorrow is our bench press test and I want to have enough strength to pass! I'm not sure how they will rate this test (i.e. if your back comes off the bench, etc) but I think I'll be OK. My legs are killing me but I think I burned like 1,000 calories in an hour so it was a pretty darn good workout. I also received my new watch today that I ordered from Amazon. Thanks for the gift card Kelly Shay and family! I had to purchase a digital watch with a stop watch on it. This really helps at the gym because now I can keep track of my own time while running. Tomorrow should prove interesting, both at the gym and in class. I'm excited though! Wish me luck! :)
