I'm back in Nelsonville. Joy. lol Actually it's not too bad. I really miss my family and friends, but at the same time I feel comfortable here. The driving is so less chaotic. I actually felt stressed driving in Towson and Baltimore, like everyone was going to hit me because there were so many cars and they ALL drove on the center line like idiots. And there are just SO many people. It's amazing how different things are between Ohio and Maryland (certain parts anyway). People here in Nelsonville are poor, and I mean dirt poor. Suck it up Maryland and quit complaining!
Anyway, I wanted to share some pics from this weekend.
(Braydon playing with Heather's birthday gift-a spinnny cake decorator thing.)
(Is there a dog in there?)
(Upside down Halo.)
(Braydon eating breakfast before I left Sunday morning.)
(Waffles-yum! He's so big, I can't believe it!)
(Blue skies to drive home.)
So today, Monday, I'm back in the grind. I had PT this morning and although I wasn't looking forward to it, I actually got a really good work out and was energized for the rest of the day. I also managed to go running after class. I've decided that I am going to run every day from now until the end of the academy (about 50 days away). That is of course, with the exception of DT days, since we will have nine hours of physical activity and on days when I play basketball or do something else pretty physical. Other than that, no excuses! Yes, that includes weekends. Blah. I'm not excited about it, but it's 15 minutes each day (to run 1.5 miles) and it's something I just have to do. So here we go. Oh and this week we are learning how to run radar, so that should be fun. :)
