Today had to be the most boring day ever. The guy next to me kept moaning just to keep himself awake and I had to smack myself a few times so I wouldn't shut my eyes. We went over NIMS (National Incident Management System) and ICS (Incident Command System). NIMS was especially boring; I've never heard so many words put together in a paragraph to say absolutely nothing. It says stuff like you should plan, but we aren't going to give you a plan, you have to come up with one on your own. And that's where ICS comes in. They tell you how to plan and who should be involved, but again, not an actual plan for emergencies. I felt like NIMS was a huge waste of time and ICS was good to learn, but most of it was common sense. Either way, I passed both tests and got my certificates.

I went to Harper's Market for lunch today with Matt and Chris and Rich met us there. I had an Italian sub with Macaroni salad and 'pop' or soda as I call it. It was pretty good and for $5, not a bad deal. I was quite full after lunch which obviously didn't help in staying awake during class.

I received my schedule for next week today. I'm so excited! I have driving class from Monday through Wednesday (two of the days are 10 hours) and I have off Thursday and Friday! Only about half the class has this schedule, and the other half has to do First Aid/CPR for the rest of the week. My half of the class will have to do First Aid/CPR another day, even though we already have our credentials. Not sure why it worked out this way, but I'm certainly not complaining! And the following week is shotgun week! It just gets better and better.

As far as the weather goes, I'm super happy! It was 65 degrees when I woke up at 0500 (5:00 a.m.). It was nice to walk outside in gym shorts and not have to throw a couple of extra layers on top. Speaking of the gym, PT wasn't too bad today. We were missing about five people, but since St. Patrick's Day was yesterday, we didn't have a bad turnout. After school a few of us wanted to play basketball again but unfortunately the rest of school is on spring break this week and they closed the gym. I think that's ridiculous, but whatever. We were just going to play on the outside court but it started to rain, so we just decided to throw around a couple of footballs in the parking lot for about an hour, in the rain. It was fun. After washing up and grabbing a bite to eat, I headed to a movie with Matt. We saw Rango and it was cute. Not as funny as I thought, but for $4.00, it was something to do.

I think I have a bit of a cold. It seems to be going around. I'm all stuffy and had a headache on and off throughout the day. I went to blow my nose around the corner today and so did another classmate at the same time. It just so happened that we were in the same area when the Commander walked around the corner, looked at us like we had SARS and kept walking. I can't help but laugh every time I picture his face walking past. I try to use the Lysol wipes on the doors, tables, etc. every day but it's hard to keep the germ content down when you're stuck in a room with 19 guys all day, every day. Guess it's NyQuil for me tonight.
