I'm so excited that tomorrow we start driving. It's only a two day course but we have lots of ground to cover. We went over some diagrams today of what we'd be doing out 'in the field' (a.k.a. the parking lot). There's a lot of crazy stuff. For some reason they concentrate on a lot of reverse driving. I guess statistically cops get in the most accidents while driving backwards. My first question is why are they driving backwards to begin with? And my second question is, if they are so bad at driving backwards, why don't they just install those back up cameras? Sounds like a simple solution to me, but hey, what do I know? I mean they already have thousands of dollars worth of equipment in each car, what's $200 more?
Anyhow, tomorrow and Thursday are very long days. If I remember correctly it's two 10-hour days. It could be more, we'll see. I'll let you know how it goes after it's all said and done. Wish me luck; not that I'll need it! ;)
